meet maddy
Hi there! I’d love to share a bit about myself. I was born and raised in Kansas City, MO, and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Change Management from Saint Louis University. After college, I spent eight years with lululemon before beginning my merchandising career with Amazon. Today, I travel the country full-time helping build out our grocery business—supporting the company’s mission to make quality groceries accessible and affordable for underserved communities.
Rewinding a bit—my love for fitness started with my mom, who used to sneak me into yoga classes at our local Gold’s Gym when I was 12 (she may have fibbed on the consent form saying I was 14!). I began teaching Lagree fitness at 22, where I learned the foundations of anatomy, slow twitch muscle groups, leading a class, and became Bloom Method Certified which allows me to coach pre/post-natal mamas. When I moved Los Angeles after college, I continued to teach under the Lagree founder Sebastian Lagree. I later completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training through Hume, a world-renowned private wellness club in Venice, CA.
I have experience teaching yin, vinyasa, meditation, mobility, and large group classes. My favorite format to teach is methodical: beginning with visualizations, grounding + clearing, movement to build heat, ending in yin and a savasana massage. I view teaching yoga as a deeply sacred responsibility. Choosing who guides you and loved ones through this practice is no small decision, and I’m truly honored to even be considered for that role.
